Scott West was a member of my squadron in the corps of cadets, Squadron "Avenger" 5. He was a fish when I was a pisshead. I knew that he was an eagle scout and an engineering major, but aside from that, all I knew was that he was a good kid. By the time the year came to a close and was able to call him by his first name, our squadron had been disbanded. The next year, he went to company C-2. He and and his buddy Mark Laurenzi went there together, and I always knew that they would cause as much mischief in the regiment as they had in the wing. I wish I had known Scott better, but I guess I was lucky enough just to know him. He is and will be missed.
